About this Project
This project, sponsored by the Parkland County, comprised of the removal and replacement of the existing gravity sanitary mains and the installation of a sanitary force main in Acheson, AB. While on site the County took the opportunity to address additional roadway improvements.
Construction particulars included
- Project start up activities; contract execution, submittals (ECO/ESC Plan, TAS, Schedule, Shop Drawings), and procurement
- 250mm (45m), 300mm (25m), and 525mm PVC (175m) gravity sanitary sewer main installation via open cut, depths of 3m to 8m
- 450mm HDPE sanitary forcemain installation; 375m via HDD and 195m via open cut
- 1200mm sanitary manholes (20 vm)
- Existing lift station improvement; connection of 300mm PVC sanitary into lift station wet well via coring and LinkSeal, installation of a deflector chute assembly, modification to the safety platform, chain link fence installation and culvert installation with end treatments.
- Roadway restoration including granular base course, cement stabilization (3,735m2), asphalt restoration (2,520m2) and additional roadwork (3,695m2)
